    Dr Ghazi graduated from St Bartholomew"s Hospital Medical College, University of London in 1996. He received his postgraduate training in anaesthesia and pain medicine in West London on the Imperial rotation and completed his postgraduate training as a Fellow in pain medicine at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. He worked as a locum Consultant at the Hillingdon hospital in west london for one year, where he developed combined teaching in cancer pain with palliative care.

    Dr Ghazi was appointed substantive Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthetics to Whipps Cross University Hospital and St Bartholomew"s Health NHS Trust in 2010. He has been the Clinical Lead for Pain services since 2013. He in the process of establishing MDT pathways for head and neck pain, pelvic pain, palliative pain and community pain. He is actively involved in teaching at all levels from MBBS examiner, faculty on FRCA OSCE simulator course, coordinating north Thames advanced pain trainee study days, international faculty at St Thomas" USS in Chronic Pain. He was on the advisory panel for the community use of opioids in the North East London.

    Dr Ghazi has lectured nationally and internationally and has published widely in both journals and text books. His main interests are chronic head and neck pain, including whiplash injuries, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, CRPS, neuropathic pain, cancer pain and back pain; including neuromodulation with spinal cord stimulation.
