Wellington Diagnostics Centre launches Breast Screening Service

news

01 October 2012

Breast Screening is now available at The Wellington Diagnostics Centre.

The centre offers screening mammograms from the age of 40 upwards. The average age for breast screening to take place is from 43, however if you have a family history of breast cancer screening can be started from a younger age.

If you think you might be at an increased risk, speak to your GP who can advise you of your options and refer you for a screening mammogram. Not everyone with a family history of cancer is at increased risk.

The centre holds a mammography clinic every Monday morning 09:00 until 12:30 and every Wednesday afternoon 13:00 until 17:00. Please ensure you book your appointment in advance.

Additional appointment times may be arranged on request but cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the booking team on 0207 483 5148 for further information
