Dermatology
The skin is the largest organ of the body and is affected by a similarly large range of conditions, major and minor, from a cosmetic blemish such as a birthmark to a serious melanoma that may result from many years of exposure to the sun. The Wellington Diagnostics and Outpatients Centre provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin disorders, including skin cancers, mole evaluation, psoriasis and eczema, supported by surgical, imaging and specialist nursing expertise and resources. Our dermatologists also work frequently with other surgeons at the Wellington Hospital to minimise scars or improve their appearance.
